Communications Assistant, Curve Theatre

Leicester Theatre Trust (LTT) has an exciting opportunity at Curve, Leicester’s state of the art theatre.

As the Communications Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Communications Team in the effective promotion of Curve. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to get into and develop within the arts marketing profession.

The post holder will be involved in a number of promotional activities and will provide assistance in all areas of the Communications and Sales Team, including print and advertising, online (website, social media and email marketing), PR, research and community development.

You will also work with the team in identifying target audiences, assisting with marketing campaigns, updating the website and social media platforms and ensuring that the building is displaying the most relevant promotional material. You will provide support for the research and management of the events diary and will attend these events with the team to help raise the profile of Curve. As the team assistant, you will also be required to carry out various clerical duties to ensure the smooth running of the department.

To succeed in this role, you must be educated to at least degree level or equivalent and will have previous experience in a fast moving customer focussed role.

With an enthusiasm in theatre and performing arts, you will be keen to develop a marketing career within this challenging environment. You must have strong written and verbal skills with excellent administrative and IT skills, along with the ability to plan and organise your own workload. As a team player, you will thrive in a busy work environment and will play a key role in enthusing and motivating others, and work happily under your own initiative. A willingness to work some evenings and weekends will also be required.
