Attracting annual audiences to our events of over 2.5m, Nottingham Events produces much of this diverse arts and event programming, including the Splendour music festival, annual Riverside Festival, international sports events such as the Accenture World Triathlon Mixed Relay and the famous Nottingham Goose Fair. We also work extensively with external promoters who make use of our fantastic city centre public realm and park venues.

You will be a part of a small agile team that conceptualise, develop, facilitate and manage a high quality, innovative, inclusive and aspirational city-wide programme of arts-based initiatives and events.

The post will be responsible for creating the conditions for and promoting Nottingham as the leading arts and creative city in the East Midlands. Using your knowledge of the sector, you will actively seek to increase opportunities for people to engage and participate in the arts, whilst encouraging collaborations, provide expert advice and leading on securing external arts funding. Playing a key role in building the capacity of our cultural sector, you will work closely with our Strategic Cultural Partnership (SCP) to develop and implement the recently adopted Cultural Statement and Framework.

Working with our partners and communities, you will develop and programme an exciting mix of local, national and international creative content into our events, initiatives and beyond.
