As Director you will lead the overall management of the operations and teams at mima, to build on its success by enhancing key partnerships with all schools across the University and key stakeholders such as Arts Council England, Middlesbrough Council and the Tees Valley Combined Authority.
You will lead mima to forge strong relationships and projects with local constituents and communities as a key part of the Tees Valley’s wider social, political, educational and economic ambitions. At the same time you will develop mima’s role across regional, national and international networks and partnerships.
You will have experience of working successfully with artists, galleries, collectors and funders and an understanding of the latest thinking in modern and contemporary visual arts, particularly in the field of social practice. You will be educated to degree level in an arts related discipline and have experience of strategic planning for both artistic policy and organisational development.
