Our mission at the Geffrye Museum of the Home is to reveal and rethink the ways in which we live, in order to live better together. Personal life stories are our life blood and we are a home for creativity. The capital project creates a new suite of galleries treating our theme of Home thematically – but it is only the beginning of a transformation to rethink everything we do and position the museum through its displays, exhibitions and public programmes as an active contributor and catalyst for debate and discussion. This is a pivotal role to drive the museum in that direction.

The Director of Creative Programmes and Collections is a new senior management role, created to bring radical change to our programming, curatorial and learning strategies. You willhttps://www.geffrye-museum.org.uk/ shape a new collecting strategy and take a leading role in modelling the future direction of the museum.

With a passion for the arts and heritage sector, you will have an extensive curatorial and programming background.  You will be motivated by radical change and be comfortable interrogating traditional exhibitions, events and learning formats to create something surprising and unique. An inspirational leader, you will win the hearts and minds of a passionate team of curators and educators.
