Engagement Curator

Yorkshire Sculpture International (YSI) is seeking an Engagement Curator. The role will oversee, plan and manage a fully integrated and innovative engagement programme for Yorkshire Sculpture International over a six month period. Working with the Producer and with the curatorial and learning teams at Yorkshire Sculpture International’s partner galleries – comprising Henry Moore Institute, Leeds Art Gallery, The Hepworth Wakefield and Yorkshire Sculpture Park – the Engagement Curator will make an active contribution to the next phase of YSI’s development and build a collaborative approach to cross-regional engagement and audience development.

The Engagement Curator will work closely with the Producer to lead and manage the engagement programme for teachers, schools and local communities for YSI. They will also be involved at a strategic level towards the development of the Sculpture Summit and sculpture commissioning programme.

The Engagement Curator will develop the Continuing Professional Development programme for teachers across Leeds and Wakefield, artists’ engagement commissions with schools and communities, workshops and events across a range of disciplines taking place online, in galleries and non-art settings.

This is a key role at Yorkshire Sculpture International and requires an experienced curator and educator who is a confident communicator and is able to work with a wide variety of partners.
