Exhibition Assistant

The National Centre for Craft & Design is the largest venue in England entirely dedicated to the exhibition, celebration and promotion of contemporary and international craft and design.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team. We are looking for a bright individual with a genuine enthusiasm for arts and culture to join our exhibition team and support our exhibitions programme and its increasing activity. Exhibiting work of an international standard, we present up to 20 exhibitions a year and have a national touring programme as part of our portfolio of activity.

The post of Exhibitions Assistant will suit those hoping to further their career in the gallery/museum sector. It will provide a broad overview of working within a contemporary exhibition venue including administration, providing gallery tours, handling objects, installing exhibitions and presenting artworks, assisting with the research and development of exhibitions, liaising with artists and marketing exhibitions online. The role is has a key focus on customer service and the successful applicant will become part of our front of house team.
