Exhibitions and Collections Officer

As a member of the Exhibitions Department, the main purpose of this post is to deliver The Lightbox programme of exhibitions and displays and advise the Exhibitions Manager on matters of policy and practice in the management of the collections. These responsibilities call for relevant experience, including a grasp of the principles of exhibitions management, together with strong communication skills and a broad knowledge of the technical, financial and legal issues involved in the safe handling, transport and display of works of art. The post holder must have a flexible approach towards the job and may sometimes be assigned to duties out of normal working hours.

The post holder will work closely with the Exhibitions Manager, as well as the Exhibitions Technician and Building Technician. The individual will liaise with the Marketing, Learning and Visitor Experience teams and a range of other staff and departments, as necessary.
