Festival Producer

We are looking for a Freelance Festival Producer to manage a one-day arts festival in September 2016.

We are working with the KHL Big Local partnership and a Festival Panel made up of local residents, to organise a one-day arts festival for the residents of the Kingswood and Hazel Leys areas of Corby.  The festival is due to take place on the either the 24th or 25th of September (tbc).

The festival will consist of a number of outdoor events, potentially including artist commissions, performances by local art groups and food outlets. The exact content is yet to be decided, but it is likely that the majority of the festival will concentrate on the performing arts, alongside participatory activities across all art forms.

The Festival Producer will work with the Festival Panel to co-ordinate the activities and will advise the panel on best practice and relevant procedures. In line with both Made in Corby and KHL Big Local’s commitment to local decision-making, all decisions regarding content and organisation for the festival will sit with the Festival Panel.

Made in Corby is a three-year programme of new arts activities funded by Arts Council England as part of its Creative People and Places programme. Our focus is on working with local communities, artists, arts and voluntary organisations, businesses and the public in Corby to ensure that the arts are at the heart of positive change in the town and the borough.

The KHL Big Local is a funded programme that brings support and investment to the residents of Kingswood and Hazel Leys to make the community an even better place to live.  KHL Big Local puts residents in charge.
