Marketing Manager

We’re seeking a Marketing Manager to help shape our marketing strategy and engage our target audiences as we begin the journey to a year-round programme at The Factory. We’d like you to be accomplished in managing multiple projects, proficient in analysing box office and audience data and able to work to tight deadlines. You’ll create innovative and reliable marketing campaigns across the spectrum of dance, theatre, music, opera, visual arts and popular culture to maximise audience attendance, working closely with the Marketing Director and other members of the communications team, to maximise the exposure of the organisation.

The postholder will work with the Marketing Director to develop a marketing strategy that meets the organisations business objectives and achieves and maximises audience attendance and ticket sales revenue for Manchester International Festival (MIF) and The Factory, once opened.

Responsibilities

  • To take responsibility in planning, coordinating and managing the campaign plans for MIF Festival events, and The Factory events, once opened, to effectively meet audience and financial targets
  • To monitor ticket sales and audience feedback to continually refine and improve marketing campaigns
  • To brief and manage media and creative agencies, and an internal design team, to create compelling campaigns to attract the target audience
  • To maintain the MIF brand and house style across all marketing channels both on and offline, and ensure that all standard information is accurate and up-to-date
  • To work closely with the Content Manager, Digital Team and Producers to develop and deliver rich engaging digital content to accompany the marketing campaigns
  • To work collaboratively with Creative Learning to implement the audience development strategy and Development to maximise the relationship with sponsor and partners and to recruit MIF Members
  • To develop high profile marketing promotions with key stakeholder and partners with a strong audience and brand fit with MIF
  • To manage and inspire the marketing team, including setting objectives and priorities, workload allocation, and performance management
