NN Ambassadors

The NN Ambassador programme is a tailored CPD training that develops sector-specific and wider employability skills within the cultural and creative industries and beyond. Our Ambassador Programme diversifies the future workforce through the development of business, enterprise and entrepreneurial skills to open up entry to the sector.

The programme takes place between November 2021 and January 2022.

As a member of the programme you will:

  • Undertake a development session to talk about yourself to find out more about your interests and set goals for the programme.
  • Develop a learning plan to outline key goals designed to help you find work opportunities at the end of the programme.
  • Attend at least 6 online talks and seminars from industry professionals to:
Find out more about the arts and cultural sector from established industry professionals.
  • Learn more about developing careers, applications and networks in the arts to kickstart your career or develop your confidence.

You will work alongside NN Contemporary to:

  • Develop your own self-managed projects to explore more of what you want to do and contribute to the gallery programme.
  • Undertake Arts Award, if you choose to, to develop qualifications and understanding.
  • Work as part of the NN team to get a better understanding of roles within the arts and develop your skills.

Each participant within the scheme will be expected to undertake a minimum of 60 hours of development, equating to approximately 8 hours per week.

This is a combination of organised sessions and self-managed time so the programme can work flexibly for you.

Should your application be successful you would need to be available for an informal chat on 10th November and to attend the formal induction on Saturday 13th November. The formal induction is a chance to meet the other participants and complete the enrolment forms. It is preferable that this is conducted in person

The programme is fully funded and therefore places are free but limited.
To apply please complete the application form and return to us so we can set up a conversation to find out more about you.

This programme is intended for people living in the South East Midlands area, that is Northamptonshire, Luton, Bedfordshire, and Milton Keynes, and for those unemployed or not in education. However, applicants who this does not apply to will be considered.
