ArtsErewash are looking to recruit a Project Coordinator to run their Arts in Empty Shops project: rEvive Erewash.
Funded by Arts Council England and Erewash Borough Council the project is designed to bring professional and voluntary arts by local and other artists, arts organisations, community groups and schools into the heart of Ilkeston.
The rEvive Project Manager will seek new premises in Ilkeston & establish new partnerships and collaborations with other vacant premises/spaces in the town centre and surrounding areas. The rEvive Project Manager will also explore opportunities within the market square, the library and Erewash Museum, and as necessary, to maintain presence in Long Eaton shop for as long as current landlord allows.
The shops/spaces will be filled with creative workshops, performances, exhibitions, information and events to revitalise the town centre, encourage retail enterprise and engage local residents and visitors in creative activities.
This is a 6 month contract from November 2016. The Coordinator will be working alongside, and supported by the rEvive Steering Group.
