Social Media and Digital Marketing Apprentice

Leicester’s Phoenix Cinema and Art Centre have a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join their marketing team as a Social Media and Digital Marketing Apprentice.

Are you interested in a career in social media and digital marketing? Would you like an opportunity to work in one of Leicester’s most exciting small organisations? If yes, this could be the role for you. Full training will be provided by Leicester College. You must have a strong interest in social media and a willingness to learn. You will be involved in:

• Managing social media sites and promotional campaigns – including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
• Preparing and updating website content.
• Writing and designing email newsletters.
• SEO and keyword optimisation.
• Pay-per-click advertising.
• Facebook advertising.
• Measuring performance using Google Analytics.
• Managing photography and using imaging software.
• Monitoring trends in social media and wider digital marketing.
• Creation of promotional materials – including flyers, posters and adverts.
• Updating blog content
• Maintaining an oversight and understanding of the Phoenix brand

Phoenix is Leicester’s centre for independent cinema, art and digital culture. We are a charity. In our two modern cinema screens we show everything from independent films to the latest Hollywood blockbusters, and we regularly organise festivals and events. Our regularly changing art programme presents work by local and international artists, and our education work helps people of all ages to learn about, and create their own, film and art.
