The talk contributors will discuss creative responses to the community, the site, and modern green spaces for well-being.

Soft Estate, who are working towards building a sanctuary for collective experimentation and engagement, created a video When Permitted to Wander to accompany a series of workshops.

CONTRIBUTORS TO THE TALK:

Gina Mollett, BACKLIT Learning and Community Coordinator

Soft Estate, the work of the BACKLIT studio art collective, Soft Estate will be discussed.

Ben Rostance, local artist who will discuss their unique approach to working with members of the community to respond to the site of the former Asylum and work on “Peter’s Asylum”.

David Beckingham, will present the changes in the geographical area through the collection of maps available at the University of Nottingham

Member of Sneinton Tenants Outreach Programme (STOPtra) – discuss their work and being involved in the project.
