Passionate about contemporary art and community collaboration you will need a proven ability to build and maintain strong partnerships through innovative creative practice. We are looking for an artist with excellent experience of connecting under represented communities with galleries.

The chosen artist will  design and deliver a programme of work, in collaboration with the Learning Team, that will inform new ways of working and future gallery practice.

The work will draw on the galleries recent studies of the Black Arts Movement through our Exhibitions Programme, and particularly the exhibition The Pace Is Here and the work of Lubaina Himid.

You will need both a strong record in your own contemporary art practice and community engagement. It will be desirable for you to have a flexible approach to different media and different practices, including digital.
