Curatorial Traineeship

The National Gallery with the Art Fund and the assistance of the Vivmar Foundation are working together on a programme to offer two fully funded twenty-two month Curatorial Traineeships with two regional museums, to begin in mid September 2019.

You will be keen to acquire specialist knowledge of historic European paintings and to develop a solid understanding of how to make them accessible and relevant to audiences today. You will have the ability to enthuse others and to connect with a wide range of people, both within an organisation and when interacting with members of the public.

Please note both roles are fixed term for 22 months and may require the successful candidate to travel occasionally within the UK and to be prepared to relocate to one of the partner organisations following an initial training period of 6 months at the National Gallery in London.
