Award-winning art gallery, The Hepworth Wakefield, is looking to recruit a number of Visitor Experience Assistants to join our dynamic and enthusiastic Visitor Experience team. Named after Barbara Hepworth, one of the most important artists of the 20th century who was born and brought up in Wakefield, the gallery presents major exhibitions of the best international modern and contemporary art. It is also home to Wakefield’s art collection – an impressive compendium of modern British and contemporary art – and has dedicated galleries exploring Hepworth’s art and working process.
Our Visitor Experience Assistants provide visitors to the gallery with the warmest welcome and actively promote the gallery’s programme and membership scheme, as well as upselling relevant merchandise to complement each visit. The role involves interpreting our displayed collections to the public, delivering guided tours, supporting events and ensuring the safety of our visitors and security of our building and collections.
You will deliver a first-class visitor experience and ensure that our visitors are inspired to return. If you have a commitment to providing customer service excellence and are excited about art we would love to hear from you!
