About
Mason’s exhibition was developed over a 15 month period, including a three-month residency at the New Walk Museum. The exhibition considers the relationship between the seen and the unseen collection, working with items from the collection, and other artists work, as his own material. The majority of the items on display have never been exhibited in public before and works will be changed every few days in a predefined sequence. An accompanying publication, containing a long form poem by the artist and an essay by Chris Fite-Wassilak, acts as a keystone, forming a translation-narrative of the exhibition and the various research outcomes.
There will be a Closing Event/Performance on Friday 5th April between 2.30pm and 4.30pm. To book your place to the Closing Performance please RSVP by Friday 29 March to: 0116 454 3529 / tony.spittle@leicester.gov.uk
