At NN Contemporary we are excited to welcome Dutch Artist Gam Bodenhausen to Northampton for our next exhibition in the NN Gallery. The artist creates drawings and installations, where historical and geological elements from landscapes play imaginatively with fiction and the abstract. Familiar images, structures and objects from nature are observed, analysed, and rearranged into a new cultural reality, which breaks down perspectives and hidden constraints. Bodenhausen studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and continued her Master training at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht. Achievements are presentations at the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam and Latvian National Museum of Art in Riga. For her solo exhibition at NN she has created a series of new drawings in response to the surrounding sandstone of the Midlands. For more information contact marketing@nncontemporary.com
