Key purpose of the post:
- Our Libraries, Museums & Galleries Manager will have responsibility for the efficient and effective functioning, management, promotion and development of Bradford District’s libraries which includes 10 Council run libraries, and 19 community run libraries. In addition the role has responsibility for our 4 museums & galleries and designated heritage sites and associated services.
- The role will focus on the development and implementation of relevant strategies and plans to ensure a key role for libraries & museums and galleries, in district strategies. To maximise the potential of the services as a catalyst for tourism, lifelong learning, skills development and community cohesion, with a focus on unlocking our potential for economic growth and regeneration, whilst continuing to meet our obligations under our Lifelong Learning agenda and Children and Young People’s Plan.
We are looking for a dynamic and resilient individual with a good track record of delivering on deadlines and performance targets which strong stakeholder management skills to support effective staff and trade union relationships through a significant period of change.
