We are running a peer mentoring programme in August and September. We would like you to be involved! This is for visual artists and makers, both established or start up.

Monday 19th August 2-5pm at LCB Depot, 31 Rutland St Leicester LE1 1RE

This is the training and set up event where you will find out about peer mentoring, learn some skills to help you support your colleagues and we will also facilitate and set up two groups to meet again in the future.

You will be required to participate in 1 or 2 further group sessions (dates agreed by the group members) in September and complete an evaluation of the programme at the end.

Cost £15. This includes the peer mentoring training, support from Made in Leicestershire Consultant Ruth Singer for the next meetings of the group and free attendance at the Professional Development and Networking event on 24th September.

There will also be a free session 11am-1pm on photographing your work, plus free lunch!

Attendees at the end will be able to apply for 2 great opportunities:

– A professional portrait photo taken on the day which will go in the Made in Leicestershire report and you will have copies to use in your own marketing
– A Go-See Bursary of up to £50 towards travel, conference or seminar tickets or other professional development activity

There will be two peer mentoring groups; one for emerging artists and makers or those still working on a very small scale and another group for established artists and makers who know what they are doing but need a bit of help with particular areas. The training will be for both groups together.
