Curator of Exhibitions

Leeds Art Gallery is seeking to appoint a Curator of Exhibitions, who will work closely with colleagues on the development and delivery of an inspirational, challenging yet accessible and socially inclusive exhibition programme as part of the overall visitor experience of Leeds Art Gallery and in line with Leeds Museums and Galleries’ objectives.

Leeds Art Gallery is part of Leeds Museums and Galleries which is run by Leeds City Council. Leeds Museums and Galleries is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation. In 2018/19 Leeds Art Gallery welcomed over 469,000 visitors and is the third most visited free attraction for Yorkshire and Humber according to VisitEngland’s latest annual survey. https://museumsandgalleries.leeds.gov.uk/leeds-art-gallery/

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, knowledgeable and experienced in exhibition-making and working with artists, with excellent written and oral communication skills and a clear commitment to the visual arts.

This is a permanent appointment with a salary range of £29,636 – £31,371.
