YOUNIQUE – YOUNG PRODUCERS

Are you interested in a career as a festival and event producer? If so, the YOUnique programme may be for you. YOUnique offers an opportunity for young people to learn and lead in the delivery of the YOUnique Festival, a three-day takeover of New Art Exchange. You’ll learn all the key aspects of festival production and management and work with the NAE team, industry experts, and professional artists. You will receive specialist training and applied development opportunities. You’ll decide on the key themes, the artists you want to work with and programme a weekend-long festival.

The offer includes

  • Specialist training and tailored in arts and event production delivered by Sol Hissirou Nottingham based international Producer and Entrepreneur
  • Bespoke development opportunities relating to arts and activism.
  • Applied practice in professional contexts.
  • Visits to key arts events in the region.
  • Building a team and collaborating with YOUnique Collective
  • Networking opportunities.
  • Individualised feedback form industry experts.

Key Dates

  • Call out opens 3 October
  • Application deadline 24 October
  • Programme Runs October 2022 to March 2023 on Thursday evenings
  • Festival weekend Early March 2023

Locations:

Training Days will be held at NAE, visits to events across the region and additional online sessions.

Applicants:

  • Aged between 18 years – 30 years.
  • Live in Nottingham City.
  • We are especially interested in supporting applications from the global ethnic majority.
