Open Call: Art+Text

The relationship between art and text is rich and varied – from Rene Magritte to Jasper Johns, Jenny Holzer to Martin Creed – the decision to use text in art is a powerful and often provocative choice.

There are endless possibilities between a visual art practice and writing, text and words!

All media encouraged including video, performance, installation, prints, painting, books, new media and sculpture.

Please email a digital image of your entry and a brief Artist Statement to exhibitions@kellyobrien.co.uk by the 22nd January 2017.

There is no fee to submit work but there will be a gallery hanging fee for each work accepted into the show:

• 1st work accepted: £15

• Each additional work: £5 each

44AD artspace takes 20% commission on all sales.
For artists who cannot deliver their work in person, shipping fees to and from the exhibition are paid by the artist.

Dates to remember:

• Deadline for all submissions is – 22nd January 2017

• Accepted exhibitors will be contacted by – 27th January 2017

• Accepted work is to be brought to 44AD artspace on – 19th February 2017

• ‘Art+Text’ opening night will be held on – 20th February 2017

• Exhibition will continue until – 26th February 2017
