About
UK Young Artists presents a workshop for creatives aged 18-30 interested in site speci c work. Delivered by UKYA’s curatorial development postholder, Joe Rowley, it will explore the formal qualities of site speci c art; its history and social potentials, put into practice by creating impromptu, ephemeral interventions around the university. An exciting opportunity to test out some new thoughts in a generous and generative environment.
Joe Rowley is an artist and curator based in Göteborg, Sweden, working towards his MFA Fine Art at Valand Academy. Rowley was a founding member and Director/Curator at HUTT, Nottingham and now pursues independent curatorial projects alongside an artistic practice. He has shown both nationally and internationally including solo exhibitions in Nottingham and Glasgow and group shows in Nottingham, Manchester, She eld, Brussels and as part of the Sunscreen, a project by Candice Jacobs for EM15 at the 56th Venice Biennale.
Joe curated UK Young Artists National Festival: Derby 2016 and is currently curating aspects of our presence at Mediterranea18: Albania, 2017.
