Creative Practitioner/Artist for Living Archives project

Living Archives: This youth led project, funded by the Heritage lottery will see young people, exploring Stoke on Trent City Archives to look for stories from Bentilee and the surrounding area, then come back, into the community and create, re-create or re-imagine their own stories, with a digital output to be submitted to the online archive.

We require 6 practitioners/organisations, to work with the young leaders and group to, develop ideas for the stories and facilitate them in creating the pieces of work, as well as sharing skills.

Examples of ideas from the young people, include writing a song and/or music video, a play, that can be filmed, photography as well as an animation

The group is made up of a team of young leaders, who are steering the project, working with the wider youth group of up to 70 young people.

It is important that through the project, they not only find and create some excellent stories and content, but learn new skills along the way.

There is up to £4000 (x 6) available.
