About

Illumine features the work of eight final-year photography students and brings together a display of diverse topics and photographic styles.

Egerton’s work aims to portray a modern yet classical approach to the world of game shooting, whilst Lucas has shone a light onto hard-working independent artists based within the UK in her magazine Handmade In the UK. Lewis’s project Please Tick One reflects upon her interracial background and responds to the future of Britain’s multicultural society. Through a series of highly sophisticated still life images, Lyddon aims to explore notions around gender conditioning within society in her project, The Performance. Smith’s photographic work focuses on the beauty of the landscape particularly before and during Twilight, whilst Munday uses her project Peripheral to investigate and document Nottinghamshire’s country borders with a geographical undertone. Turner’s ongoing project Sorry If This Work May Offend You explores female orientated issues within the patriarchal society we live in. Through collaborations with Midlands based creatives, Young has produced high-end fashion and beauty images for her project Kollab.
