Photographic portraiture has been an important aspect of photography since the 1840s. In this course, some of the basics needed for portraiture will be covered. A variety of film cameras and film types will be used. Different types of portraiture will be explored, different lighting techniques, best ways to pose models and the use of light meters. Finally, you will be shown the basics of producing black and white prints in the darkroom. All cameras and materials will be provided.
