Clear filterCVAN EM's Bursaries programme supports artists and arts workers in the East Midlands to develop ambitious activity within the visual arts. Launched as a pilot in 2024–25, the scheme initially offered five £1,500 county-focused bursaries to support practitioners across the region.
Following evaluation and consultation with recipients and the CVAN EM Steering Group, the programme has evolved into the Bigger Bursary, a single £2,500 award that provides deeper support for one artist or arts worker's time, skills, and practice. Alongside 1-2-1 mentoring with CVAN EM's Director, the bursary aims to strengthen contemporary visual arts practice across the region and acknowledge the energy and commitment involved in applying for creative opportunities.
