About

Alongside the Fire Rooster exhibition, we will be hosting two events to share texts and conversations exploring themes in the work. Join us for the afternoon and evening or just come along to one of the sessions.

Diasphoria Reading Group
Wednesday 13 June, 14:00—17:00
Book here

Alongside the Fire Rooster exhibition, we will host a reading group to discuss moments where memory and imagination intersect with brown, queer and non-binary gender identities.

Panel Discussion
Wednesday 13 June, 18:00—20:00
Book here

To mark the culmination of the Fire Rooster exhibition tour, a panel discussion with Alia Pathan and invited guests will draw together references to intra-cultural identity, pop-culture and an imagined sense of home for artists of the South Asian diaspora.

Refreshments provided.

These events at Primary are supported by the New Art Exchange.

The Fire Rooster exhibition is supported by Arts Council England’s Grants for the Arts and the ASC Development Fund.
