The second meeting of “Art as Gift” will discuss themes that have emerged from reading Jacques Derrida’s writings on the gift in “Given Time” (1991). Themes for discussion will include “The Madness of the Gift” and “The Delay of the Gift,” as well examples of artists using the gift concept in the creation of their work.
