Chado: Dreaming in Texture, a solo exhibition by artist Dominica Harrison at Leicester Print Workshop from 12 September – 7 November 2020. There will be an accompanying artist’s talk on Wednesday 30 September.
The exhibition combines digital animation with printmaking. At the centre of the exhibition is the experimental animation Chado, a coming of age tale set in a Russian wilderness, in which a captivating series of Risograph prints are animated to create the hallucinatory sequences in this enchanting short film.
These prints will be displayed alongside the film, together with sketchbooks and character design work on solar plate prints, to give a fascinating insight into the processes behind making the work.
