Family Repair Shop invites grandparents, parents and children to come together and get creative.

Over 3 weekend workshops, we will be exploring textiles and creating beautiful new designs out of your old clothes and materials.

Each workshop is led by a different artist, who will share their specialist skills. Book workshops individually or join us for the full 3 session course.

Sunday 16th October – Designer Denim
Bring along denim pieces of clothing which need a new lease of life and to have a go at textile painting with artist Abbi Olla. You will end up with some wonderful hand painted designs you can wear.
Sunday 6th November – Sentimental Threads
Learn the basics of textiles including how to stich invisible seams with artist Louise Presley. You will also have a go at creating a “family repair roll” that holds equipment for emergency mends. You are welcome to bring along old garments, bits of sentimental textiles or haberdashery to personalise your makes.
Sunday 4th December – Christmas Jumpers
Join artist Ruth Waller and upcycle old jumpers into christmassy designs perfect for the festive season. In these classes you will get the chance to learn new skills, give old textiles a new lease of life, and spend some quality family time.

Tickets £20 for an individual workshop or £45 for all 3 (saving 25%). Tickets admit one adult and one child.
