About

Between February and April, at events across the East Midlands, CVAN EM Director Elizabeth Hawley-Lingham will present the findings from It Takes A Region To Raise An Artist, research commissioned in 2019 with CAMEo – the University of Leicester’s Research Institute for Cultural and Media Economies – into the East Midlands’ visual arts ecology.

Attendees will hear the key findings from this research, which for the first time provides data on the region’s visual arts workforce and economy. Afterwards there will be an opportunity to engage in informal conversation, over refreshments, about the recommendations made to CVAN EM and the wider sector for supporting regional artists and developing regional artistic talent.
