About
Following his stereotype-shattering photo series ‘Kesh Angels’, depicting the girl biker gangs of Marakesh, this film follows ‘Kesh Angel’ Karima. Mother, wife, henna artist, local icon, graduate of “Jamaa Fena: the university of street life” and known for breezing through Marrakesh on her bike with her vibrant veils fluttering in her wake, Karima is also a normal woman who works ten hours a day. Hajjaj paints a complex vision of contemporary Islamic gender roles. Karima and Hajjaj join us to discuss their creative collaboration.
