As part of Deep Roots Tall Trees’ Our Woods project, and inspired by her experience of woodland relics in Shanghai, our Associate Artist Virginie Litzler has created a series of four workshops for Corby. Photographing and interacting with people in everyday circumstances, Virginie explores how we belong to and move through places, finding ways to experiment with gravity.
Public Workshop 3
10am – 1pm, Saturday 18 March
Meet at entrance to Corby Cube
A movement based workshop exploring our physical relationship with the woods, facilitating body awareness beyond the common understanding of the body, recorded through photography.
£6.50, (£4 concessions)
Please bring a camera, appropriate footwear and clothing. All welcome but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Public Workshop 4
10am – 1pm, Sunday 19 March
Meet at entrance to Corby Cube
Join Virginie in seeing and photographing the woods from different perspectives and through a shift in perceptions.
£6.50, (£4 concessions)
Please bring a camera, appropriate footwear and clothing. All welcome but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
Virginie previously worked with members of the public in Corby in 2013, as part of our Gesture project.
