About

In 2016 six artists, living and working in the East Midlands, were selected to take part in Document, a project that set out to tell their story, in their voice. Since then the Contemporary Visual Arts Network East Midlands (CVAN EM) has worked with those artists as they have reflected on their practice and captured their experiences.
CVAN EM is delighted to bring Document to NN Contemporary Art. At this event we will screen Six Artist Stories a series of short films commissioned for the project, capturing the experiences of the project artists.
There will also be the opportunity to hear from the artists involved in the project – Andrew Bracey, Geoff Litherland, Jessica Harby, Kajal Nisha Patel, Tim Shore and Tracey Kershaw – who will reflect on their practice and their involvement in the project in conversation with artist and curator Gordon Dalton, who was involved in their initial selection for the project.
Document is supported by CAMEo and the University of Leicester and Arts Council England.
