‘A Quieter Place’ is the first solo show by British artist, Tayler Fisher commissioned by Modern Painters, New Decorators. Tayler creates a sprawling, technicolour world in which monsters, flowers and words collide, inspired by historical maps, epic poems and fantasy media. The exhibition features a series of paintings influenced by the song, ‘A Quiet Place’ by the Paragons, which has been versioned by King Tubby, Horace Andy and Massive Attack. Expanded through an installation of objects, images and sounds, the exhibition explores lyrical themes of journey and home.
