Jo Dacombe and Saintly Amok will be re-presenting their live performance TIME & TIDE at the SOCK Gallery as part of Loughborough Lates and the LSA annual 2023 exhibition programme.
The Time & Tide series of prints were created through a meditation on the wood grain of the block to be carved and responded to the grain of the wood – a listening to the embodied language of that material, a voice of the spirit of an ensouled being.
The performance leads us to consider the knowledge we have access to through our senses. We gently face the difficult questions that arise as the tide of climatic phenomena around us grow ever insistent. We listen, and we respond.
Join us in a uniquely created space to reflect and connect to an essence of being human and part of all that is more than human.
Two of the Time & Tide prints are part of the current LSA annual members show at the SOCK gallery, there will be an opportunity to purchase copies of the IMMINENT zine which features the Red Tide print, which the performance is based on.
