Join us for a unique day of mindful creativity and yoga in the heart of Fineshade Wood. Visual artist and certified yoga instructor Kajal Nisha Patel will guide you through her personal experience of using yogic processes to inform her artistic practice. Calmly flowing between asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing) exercises, your body and mind will be stimulated towards new perspectives, encouraging the creation of new textile artworks. Issues of self-care, community, and belonging will also be discussed.

Participants should bring at least one piece of old clothing to use as the basis for a textile artwork.

Please dress in comfortable layers suitable for warmth and free movement. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat and blanket, though these can be provided. All skill levels, in both yoga and art-making, are welcome.
