Artists Commissions: Convergence at Etruria Canals Festival 2018

Etruria Canals Festival wishes to commission 3 artists to create new works in any art-form as part of the 2018 Festival in Stoke-on-Trent 2 and 3 June 2018. Artists should develop proposals that respond to the canalside site of the festival; the links between artistic and engineering exploration; and the theme of canals and waterways. We are also looking for artistic ideas that explore an Islamic heritage in art, science and engineering.

There are two commissions at £3000 and one at £750 (emerging artists).

We are looking to commission a wide range of art-forms and artists and creative organisations at different stages in their careers. Artworks/installations/performances should be suitable for a wide range of audiences including children, and capable of installation/deinstallation each day.
