BACKLIT invites UK-based recent graduates to apply to join our new Graduate Studio Programme. The 6-month programme will start on September 1st 2019 and will culminate with a group exhibition at BACKLIT.
This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates to develop their practice with the support of a leading contemporary arts organisation in Nottingham.
The 5 successful applicants will be based in a shared studio space at BACKLIT for an initial period of 6 months. The studio will be offered at the subsidised price of £50 per month, per person.
The scheme encourages the selected graduates to participate in and draw on BACKLIT’s lively community, with opportunities to integrate with local practitioners and to produce and present new work.
Towards the end of the scheme, the participants will be invited to share the work they have created in their own exhibition at BACKLIT.
Graduate Studio members will receive the following benefits:
Their own exhibition at BACKLIT
Opportunities for involvement in our forthcoming projects for 2019/2020, which revolve around the topics of wellbeing, mental health and the environment
