Bid Writer and Fundraising Lead, The Hustle Collective

The Hustle, Nottingham is seeking to appoint a part-time fundraising officer (8 hours / week) to deliver and develop its fundraising strategy for the next 6 months, with the possibility of this appointment being extended.

The Hustle is a family of freelancers, festivals and projects with a core ethos of being a force for positive change. It includes:

–       Hockley Hustle (since 2006), an annual music and arts festival that raises money for Nottinghamshire charities.

–       Young Hustlers (since 2017), a young persons music and arts festival with community focused projects running throughout the year

–       Green Hustle (since 2020), a festival and series of projects that promotes eco – conscious thinking and lifestyles to all age groups.

The Hustle secures most of its income from a variety of different sources in order to maintain its extensive programme of events, activities, and educational provision.

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to work with the festival directors to develop and implement fundraising strategy in order to increase income and help make the festivals and projects more sustainable. This post is focused on securing funding that will allow The Hustle to continue its work with its existing staff team and volunteer base and will be focused primarily on bid/grant fundraising.

The Hustle is looking for someone who aligns with the organisations anti-racist, inclusive policy.

We are particularly keen to hear from people within communities that are underrepresented in the cultural workforce including people who experience racism, face socio-economic barriers, who identify as LGBTQ+, or who identify as disabled to apply.

The fee for the role is £200 per day for an initial 20 days.
