Birmingham Museums Trust is seeking a highly experienced Curator to join its Arts Council Collection National Partners Programme project team on a freelance contract until 31 March 2019. This is an exciting new exhibition programme being developed in partnership with the Arts Council Collection and other national partners to mark the 70th anniversary of the Arts Council and the Collection, which is the finest collection of modern and contemporary British art in the world.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a range of staff in the wider project team and partner organisations including artists and their representatives, curators, conservators, technicians and appointed designers to deliver a high profile, innovative and creative programme. They will plan, curate, coordinate and deliver a programme of eight exhibitions across several of Birmingham Museums Trust’s venues, including the flagship Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery.
