Job Purpose:
To develop and manage the delivery of a high quality exhibitions and display programme, interpreting and making collections accessible in order to meet targets and develop audiences
You Will:
Lead on development and delivery of the exhibitions and displays programme, including project management
Manage, develop and appraise exhibitions and displays team staff, including approximately 3 direct reports
Help build partnerships with local, regional and national museums, groups and organisations to develop and deliver collaborative projects that lead to permanent and temporary exhibitions.
Manage the exhibitions budgets, ensuring that targets are met, income is maximised and cost managed
Enable people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to participate in heritage and museum activities
Update, improve or alter how exhibitions and displays are provided on an ongoing basis
Requirements of the post:
- Experience of developing audiences through engagement programmes
- Project management skills to successfully deliver exhibition projects of all sizes from small to major
- Degree level ability, together with an appropriate qualification Or equivalent level of relevant experience
- Knowledge of the practical aspects of exhibition installation
- Experience of managing and developing museum exhibitions
- Experience of interpretation and knowledge of different methods of interpretation

Salary: £30,756 – £33,136 per annum
