Lifelong Learning Programming Assistant

Derby Museums offers a full and varied programme of lifelong learning activities across the three sites that make up the Trust – The Museum & Art Gallery, Pickford’s House and The Silk Mill. With an emphasis on co-producing and facilitating intergenerational learning experiences which engage the head, heart and hands, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop and apply your creative learning experience and skills, to inspire and engage our audiences.

Derby Museums is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Lifelong Learning Programme Assistant with an interest and passion for creative and cultural learning, to support the implementation of a range of creative and STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering Arts and Maths) related learning activities, projects and programmes.

Working within our passionate and committed Audiences and Communities team, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and delivery of lifelong learning programmes across Derby Museums’ three sites, inspiring and engaging a diverse range of audiences.

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Supporting and monitoring the planning and delivery of audience focused learning activities and programmes linked to our exhibitions and displays, as well as regional and national events/ celebrations.
  • Supporting the co-production of programmes and activities with a range of stakeholders, organisations, learning facilitators, community groups and volunteers.

We are looking for a confident and motivated individual, who is highly organised, with the ability to think creatively and work effectively with a wide range of people. You will have excellent communication skills, be comfortable working to tight deadlines and contributing to a highly motivated team.

Interview
