The Barber – the Midlands’ own mini National Gallery, with a world-class art collection and exhibitions, international classical concerts and fantastic engagement programme – seeks an enthusiastic, creative, organised, meticulous communications and events pro, who’s great with people and, passionate about the arts, to help run and grow its thriving membership organisation
This position provides administrative and organisational support, together with creative input, to the Barber Association, our innovative membership organisation. Established only in January 2017, the Association is a lively forum for people with a love of art and music who want to support the Barber Institute’s activities and programme at a range of levels. We have ambitious targets to grow the Association and to encourage existing members to develop their philanthropy and this post is critical to sustaining ongoing expansion and success. The post-holder will lead on delivering key activities to steward existing and recruit new Association members and Patrons. They will also administer the Association, taking responsibility for membership and renewal processes and correspondence, and ensuring that these back of house activities are accurate, timely and compliant. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic and creative candidate keen to develop their fundraising and development career in the cultural sector.
