Background

Elevate is a project led by City Arts working in collaboration with Near Now, Broadway’s studio for arts, design and innovation. Elevate has been made possible thanks to funding from Real Creative Futures. It will provide a comprehensive training and development programme for aspiring young artists and producers based in Nottingham.

Elevate will run in two phases. The first phase will take place between January and June 2022 and will consist of mid-week talks led by local artists and facilitators, “go-and-see” work place visits, practical workshops and skill sharing sessions led by The Prince’s Trust and Big House. If successful, you will contribute to this first phase of activity.

The second phase, beginning June 2022, gives participants the opportunity to consult and lead the recruitment of a Fellow for the Near Now Fellowship programme. The Fellow will work with participant to create a new piece of work, whilst offering mentoring and advice.

City Arts will create a toolkit for each participant to take away which includes professional tips and advice from each of the contributors.
