Fermynwoods is seeking to appoint an Intern able to support and develop its artistic and education programmes; experience of writing successful bids to contribute towards the delivery of these programmes is desired. The Intern we are wishing to appoint will also need to be able to support the organisation’s social media and marketing: updating and improving content for its website, newsletter, Facebook and twitter accounts.  There will be a substantial administrative element to the role as well as programme and event delivery, so some out of hours working will be expected. The successful Intern should have an awareness of the current funding ecology and have experience in the arts sector of liaising with partners, funders, schools, artists and venues.

Person Specification

•    A genuine interest in the arts and in people

•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•    Social media and IT savvy

•    A creative thinker with good organisational and administrative skills

•    Flexible and hard working

A driving licence and use of car is desireable but not essential

The rate of intern pay, based on a 30-hour week for 6 months, is given below:

Total Pay for 18-20 year olds = £4,134.40

Total Pay for 21–24 year olds = £5,226.00
