Mansfield Museum is seeking to appoint a project manager/artist to develop and manage a participatory arts project for local people, as part of the Market Town Network Project. The form of the project is not fixed and the appointee will be able to help determine its focus and format.
The artist/project officer should fit the following profile:
- Have experience in managing a project with the vision and drive to deliver the project with minimal involvement of Museum staff.
- Have experience in administering and adhering to a budget.
- Ideally, skilled in a number of art forms (e.g textiles, pottery, painting, photography etc) and able to share those skills in public workshops.
- Experience in devising, developing and running a creative community project.
- Have experience working with people from a variety of backgrounds and ages.
The project will run from October 2017 to March 2018.
The total budget for the project manager/artist on this project is £4000 (ex VAT), this is a fixed amount and cannot be exceeded. There is an additional sum for the project delivery and marketing etc.
