Doddington Hall and Gardens invites submissions for an exciting new exhibition entitled Renewal in our Stableyard Gallery. This is a call for artists at all stages of their career, either working or studying in Lincolnshire and the surrounding counties to submit artwork relating to or exploring the theme of Renewal.
Doddington has hosted numerous successful art exhibitions over the past few years – most notably, the popular biennial Sculpture at Doddington, comprised of nationally and internationally acclaimed contemporary sculptors who lead the way in their field; and most recently Art of Lincolnshire, a showcase of extraordinary Lincolnshire-based artistic talents.
Final selection on exhibiting artists will be made by a small panel. They will select work that they believe to be the most suitable, innovative and, unique. The selection panel will consist of Angus Forbes, exhibition curator; Kate McGovern, co-curator of Sculpture at Doddington; and Andrew Bracey, MA Fine Art programme leader and senior lecturer at University of Lincoln.
Eligibility:
Submissions are free and open to all artists currently working or studying in Lincolnshire and neighbouring counties.
Any 2D or 3D mediums are accepted, including installation and multimedia pieces. You can submit a body of work consisting of up to 8 pieces in size, or 1 installation or video piece. Collaborations are also welcome. (The number of pieces to be exhibited may be discussed with you upon notification of selection)
Artwork can be for sale with 30% commission taken on all sales.

The PDF must include your name and contact details; high quality images of your work, a detailed plan of the proposed work, or photographs of similar work; titles; mediums; dimensions HxWxD in cm (if applicable); prices (if applicable); and a maximum 300-word statement about the work/body of work in relation to the theme.
Please also include any website and social media links that may be relevant and beneficial to the submission.
Key Dates:
- Submission deadline Sunday 13th March
- Successful submissions selected week commencing Monday 21st March
- Delivery of artwork to Doddington week commencing Monday 25th April
- Exhibition opens Monday 2nd May 10am
- Exhibition closes Thursday 9th June 4pm
- Collection of unsold work from Doddington 10th – 11th June
